Want a laugh cause I’m about to cry
How many weeks in are we, in this school year? Roughly 12 right? Every week, EVERYONE of them, Michael’s AP Chem teacher has had his assignments due on Sunday night. And for at least 10 of those weeks on Sunday, late afternoon or early evening Michael suddenly checks his AP Chem site—why, I have no idea why—-and discovers as if it is some BIG surprise that an AP Chem assignment is due.
Not more than 5 minutes ago Michael discovered that he has FIVE, FIVE!!!! assignments due by midnight. Were they posted earlier in the week? SURE. (How about a week-and-half ago!) Did he write them down in his assignment book or on his calendar his dear ol’mom gave him? NAW, cause, as he said “It would take him an hour to write down all his assignments for his classes if he did that every Monday.” UGH!! What is it going to take to get this boy to plan? Thankfully he finds Chemistry easier than anything, BUT this isn’t the only outside class he is failing to plan ahead for…. Normally his little lack of planning would not affect me. I would let him live with the consequences, however this time it is causing a bit of a stir here. Two of the assignments are labs and a parent must supervise all labs. GRRRRR, I already did my school for the week, and day. I just finished cleaning up all the paint-stuff, and cleaning the living rug. All I want to do is sit and relax and veg out in front of the TV. I don’t want to stay up late and supervise two labs. GRRRRRR, when will this boy learn to plan?
Think, Plan, Act. He’s heard me say that for 14 years, at least. It is our school motto. Any suggestions?
