Improvement on Wood
HT to skater CF’s parent for sending me these fine photos of the boys inline speed skating.
The boys have practiced hard. Look at that focus, that intensity and determination. And he isn’t falling these day.

They love their sport and I believe it shows.

The boys lean, work on getting down while doing circle drills.

They are learning and having fun,

doing what they love.

And look! They are wearing helmets! Even though no one is permitted on the speed rink without one in place, they wear them because they like their heads, because wood is harder than their heads, cause accidents happen, and it makes sense to wear one.

Carole, those are great shots! Geez! The skates sure are a lot different than from my day and age.
I realize I’m becoming a vintage, but why am I not worth more money?

I’ve tried to skate on those things and wow, do I have lots of respect for those kids now. Our skates were so much easier to skate on.
Oh, and Ang, are priceless!!!
