AYE, What a Handy-Man

On Friday I called plumber after plumber, described our home, our hot water needs and received ball-park estimates from these folks to install a new gas-fired-hot-water tank.  Oh, and they would be able to get to it mid-week.  Right, another couple days without hot water.

And only $2800 to $3200 for the tank and installation and hauling away the old one.

DH said, No thanks he would do it himself.

Saturday night after spending all day at the Delaware State Science Olympiad (away from the home from 6:30am to 9:30pm) he visited our Loews and picked up a hot water tank.

Today, Sunday, he installed the tank, and I took the first hot shower.

Oh so nice.  I let DH know that the water wasn’t quite as hot nor as strong as before and he said:

No problem, I can take care of that.

I love this man, what a handy-man.  He did the job for a little over $ 400 plus his Sunday afternoon.  Saved us about $2400 and is bringing home dinner on his way home from buying MilitaryKid new PC Speakers!

How nice.

Oh, and more about why he is getting new speakers in the next post.
