Mt. Pleasant Classical Academy

ScienceKid and I went into Philadelphia this morning and attended the NACAC College Fair held at the Philadelphia Convention Center. I know I said that we wouldn’t go to another college fair but I changed my mind.

Lots of people, many more girls than boys, walking the aisles and looking at colleges. Why is that? The recruiters, at least the ones we spoke to, were actually from the colleges and therefore quite knowledgeable. Drexel University peeked SK’s interest with their co-op program. Wittenberg recruiter brought out not only their small class size but also the likelihood that SK would get to do research work for a Professor as an undergrad since there aren’t any graduate students there. So much to think about…..

My favorite though was when SK refused to stop at the WPI booth. Whew, I really do not want him back in Worcester or at that school. I saw a different side of WPI; from the receiving end of their grads coming into the company I worked for, working with their Jr and Srs as they did their projects at My Employer Company, being involved with campus classes, many students over 10yrs,….nope, don’t want him there, and I’m so glad he wasn’t interested in getting their information.
