Which camera? Garage part 3
Last evening we talked about getting a new digital camera so of course our old one has decided to work a few more times. Here are the guys working this morning, still installing soffits.

As you can see the garage doors did not go on yesterday:

We’ve sorta decided upon purchasing the Nikon D50 camera, but I’m not sure I want to spend that much on a camera. Still looking, still unsure whether to just spend the $$ or not. We’ve had our little Canon PowerShot S40 since 2001, but there are just so many choices in digital cameras now, which to chose?

I was just browsing and saw the title of your post and couldn’t help stopping. Hope you don’t mind. My dd and I each just got a Canon Rebel XT. She got hers for a graduation gift and my dh bought mine for a birthday gift. From the research and recommendations we have gotten we have heard that the Canons are slightly better than the Nikons at the Dslr level, but really it is probably personal preference. My dd is already wanting to upgrade because she wants to do professional photography and is finding that in dark lighting situations her camera is inadequate. If you have any questions I would be happy to help.

I love my Canon Powershot S2IS.

I also have the Canon Powershot S2 IS and really love the quality of the pics. It’s a little tricky to figure out some features (like setting the speed for action shots) but once you know how, it works great. We’ve had this one for awhile though, so it is probably ancient technology by now!

I bought a canon S3 IS, Its fantastic. Great camera. got mine at 499… Now its 399. More camera than you will need for a while, but you can grow into it. set it on AUTO and shoot. 12X tele and 4X digital gives you 48X. Great for long shopt.
