Mt. Pleasant Classical Academy

We’ve been busy the past two days between IOWA testing, dental appointments:

shopping for clothes for when we go to Nationals in May, attending our Science Olympics team meeting, and having kids and parents over to work on their NSO building events. My home looks like a tornado has gone through it, but it’s all-good as one friend would say.

I thought of her tonight; grabbed a glass of soda and joined MilitaryKid on the patio for relaxation time. I watched the birds enjoy the birdbath, and watched MilitaryKid make paper airplanes from his Origami book and then fly them across the patio. Such fun. The dishes, clutter, and dirt can wait. After dinner the parents and NSO kids headed to the garage to work on their projects while MilitaryKid and I headed for a walk around the neighborhood. After the walk MilitaryKid grabbed a freesby and then a ball for some one-on-one play time with mom. I love throwing the ball around and so happy that he is finally enjoying it too.

Oh, I finally got to the dishes after MilitaryKid went to bed so now the kitchen is at least cleaned-up.  My friend would be proud of me that I got some relaxation time in with my son.
