Morning Walk
I woke before 7am and hit the road for a walk through the sleepy neighborhood. Lovely how the trees are popping with greenery, the flowers are well in bloom, and oh my were the fighting Robins everywhere.
Yes, those sweet birds that just a few weeks ago flocked in my yard by the dozens were out there this morning chasing and squawking at each other. The first one I spotted had his head cocked, the way they do as they listen for the worm to move. Suddenly a Robin was dive-bombing the first one, squawking, and quickly 2 more joined in to chase the first intruder away.

For me, Robins all look the same. How can I tell one from another? What is it that separates them? Territory of course; but are we any different? Humans surely all look the same to them; but we often times see so many differences between us.
My Sunday morning walk was meant to be relaxing, and peaceful, but it turned into thinking about divides that exist between family’s, homeschoolers, neighbors,….
